Building character through the senses, in particular smell and taste. This workshop is designed to stretch you and help you pull creative inspiration through a whisky tasting session. We will use whisky and food to help build meaningful, rich characters. For the session you will need a whisky of choice, some food of your choice and an open mind.

Teacher
Avril Poole is an improviser and actress. She has been performing improv for over a decade including such groups as; Upstairs Downton: The Improvised Period Drama, enjoying sell out shows at the Edinburgh Festival, Carmen: The Improvised Film Noir, The Improvised Play and LadyProv who host a Character, Sketch and Improv night at Hoopla. Avril has also written her own one woman show combining stand up, character, improv and sketch and is working on new shows. She is part of the cast of British Rationals, a satirical look at the news, and has occasionally written for them.Avril runs improv workshops with The Playful Edge. As well as being a lover of improv and all things creative, Avril is a whisky lover and holds whisky tasting sessions and training.
