In this online course, you’ll learn the core principles of Narrative Improv Skills. Creating fun, satisfying stories – but without getting caught up by the ‘plot monster’.
You will use improv scenes to explore different narrative structures and ways of creating story and characters with a strong point of view.

Who is this course suitable for?
Adults aged 18 – 100
Improvisers with scenework and/or some longform experience
Improvisers with a shortform based background looking to expand into longer story based work
Whatever the level of ability required, all of our classes are safe, supportive environments led by our experienced teachers. Please email us if you are unsure whether a class is suitable for you. If you sign up for a class inappropriate to your level the Nursery/Maydays reserved the right to remove you from the class without refund.

This Experienced intensive runs every evening from 26th to 30th October, 7-9.30pm GMT
Experienced (18 months+) A class for skillful players, especially those who have finished improv training programmes at their school and are looking to widen their horizons. These classes will make the assumption that you are comfortable performing longform improvisation and will push you.

Teacher
Britt Pay is an improvisational actor, teacher, and comedian with over six years of experience. She is a founding member of Classic Andy and has performed at Camden Fringe, Faversham Fringe, and Edinburgh Improv Festival. She regularly performs at Breaking & Entering’s The Playground, one of London’s most popular improv nights; a cast member of Unbridled: a Jilly Cooper Improvised Show. Britt has trained with teachers from Hoopla, The Hideout Theatre, The Nursery, The Second City and The iO Theatre.
Jonah Fazel is a veteran character actor, Theatremaker and Television presenter who trained at Royal Central school of Speech and Drama. He has trained in multiple improvisational styles and has been teaching improvisation for over a decade. He is a professor of improvisation at The University of Creative Arts and guest lecturers at many UK drama schools.
