Ohhh, those pretty little words! They fly out of our faces at breakneck pace. Meanwhile, Body speaks volumes, paints a picture, unveils inner feelings, captivates imagination. It’s time for those pretty little words to take a wee vacation and let Body TALK.
What to expect:
Tuning into our bodies and treating them as a scene partner.
Listening to the brilliant offers our bodies make and accepting the realities they create.
Lean into the Zoom-ness of it all, hit the mute button, work the camera and breathe new life into our improv through our gestures and facial expressions.
It might feel funky at first, the urge to speak is REAL. But then, as we realize the pressure to ‘say the right thing’ is lifted, we stop thinking and enter that delicious flow state.
Nursery/Maydays Sunday Classes
We work hard to provide a welcoming environment for all improvisers. In order to give space to different experiences and identities, the Nursery and the Maydays have worked to provide opportunities for specific groups to meet, connect, and improvise with one another. Each workshop will cover different topics depending on the instructor. Sometimes sessions will be aimed at particular skills, issues and questions, and other times they will simply be a place for people to come together and play.
The Nursery and the Maydays are constantly working to create programming based on the needs of our current students and the global improv community. If there is an underrepresented group that you would like to see have a workshop, send an email to classes@thenurserytheatre.com
Min. participants 6, max. 12.
