Discovering and tasting exciting and unique food is an important part of traveling. And online improv has a lot of similarities with travelling too – you get to meet interesting people from all over the world and share in their culture. But the food aspect has perhaps been a little lacking.
This show will bring the culinary experience to your home. A foodie will cook, present and taste a typical dish from their part of the world. Something with a personal connection – a story attached, a memory. This will be the inspiration for grounded and connected improvised scenes. Maybe we will even see a scene from the perspective of the food? This show is a combination of food documentary and improvised montage. If you love food, travel, and improv then this is the show for you.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for improvisers who- like playing emotionally-connected scenes- prefer a grounded relationship over a quick gag- are willing to bring themselves to the stage but are also able to transform themselves into characters.- enjoy playing objects whilst giving them the same emotional range as people.- can let a scene breathe as well as knowing when to keep it short.
Improvisers who knows that supporting sometimes means not stepping in, but always being ready.
It will also be a huge plus if you understand that deep emotional connection many have to food and how it can be inspiring. All schools and training of improv are welcome.
