Well, it’s the end of an era. Good bye to Arch 61, the perfromance home of the Nursery for two and a half years, site of nearly all of our festivals, countless workshops and rehearsals, cups of tea and late night chats. It’s goodbye to the starnge little alley, the huge vaulting ceiling and the booming acoustics. And it’s thanks. Thanks to all of you who have supported us and what we are trying to do. Thanks to all who performed, came to watch, swept the floor, opened the the bottles and drank the bottles. Thanks to those who helped out and those who just hung out. We are tremendously proud of what we have acheived, and we sure as hell didn’t do it alone.

But there is so much more to come in a new, upgraded Nursery. Don’t get us wrong, we loved that place, but it is time for a change, to find a new location that allows us to take the next step of professionalism, welcome more of the public and raise the profile of the work that we do even further. We have been in negoatioations with a few places over the course of the summer, looking for a new performance venus, but no luck as yet. Having never done this before, we don’t know how long it will take, but rest assured, we’re working away. We don’t know when it will happen, but we do know that we will not give up. We are redoubling our efforts to find a venue to house all the amazing artists that we have supported so far, as well as the clases and community that we are so proud to support.
